ELK Biotechnology is headquartered in the fast-developing city of Wuhan in the People's Republic of China, where it inaugurated its new site in the Wuhan Precision Medical Industry Base in early 2023 [2]. Here, the company has a 3,000 m² laboratory with an independent cell culture room and an SPF animal room, in which a particularly high level of hygiene is maintained to protect the animals from pathogens [3]. The ELK team consists of 85 dedicated employees, 21 of whom work in research and development alone. Targets such as TNFα, IL6 or DOCK3 are covered and the antibody specificity ranges from human, mouse and rat to zebrafish.
