Product information "Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 4 (TNFRSF4), partial (Active), human, recombinant"
Organism: Homo sapiens (Human). Source: Mammalian cell. Expression Region: 29-216aa. Protein Length: Partial. Tag Info: C-terminal 6xHis-tagged. Target Protein Sequence: LHCVGDTYPS NDRCCHECRP GNGMVSRCSR SQNTVCRPCG PGFYNDVVSS KPCKPCTWCN LRSGSERKQL CTATQDTVCR CRAGTQPLDS YKPGVDCAPC PPGHFSPGDN QACKPWTNCT LAGKHTLQPA SNSSDAICED RDPPATQPQE TQGPPARPIT VQPTEAWPRT SQGPSTRPVE VPGGRAVA. Purity: Greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Endotoxin: Less than 1.0 EU/µg as determined by LAL method. Biological Activity: Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized Mouse OX40L-His at 10µg/ml can bind Human OX40-6His (Biotinylated by NHS-biotin prior to testing), the ED50 of Recombinant Human OX40-6His is 1.44 ug/ml. Form: Lyophilized powder. Buffer: Lyophilized from a 0.2 µm filtered 1xPBS, pH 7.4. Reconstitution: We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20 °C/-80 °C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference. Storage: The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself. Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20 °C/-80 °C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20 °C/-80 °C. Notes: Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4 °C for up to one week. Relevance: OX40, also termed CD134 and TNFRSF4, is a T cell co-stimulatory molecule of the TNF receptor superfamily which plays a key role in the survival and homeostasis of effector and memory T cells. OX40 is expressed on CD4+ and CD8+ T cells upon engagement of the TCR by antigen presenting cells along with co-stimulation by CD40-CD40 Ligand and CD28-B7. The interaction between OX40 and OX40 ligand (OX40L) will occur when activated T cells bind to professional antigen-presenting cells (APCs). The T-cell functions, including cytokine production, expansion, and survival, are then enhanced by the OX40 costimulatory signals. OX40 signals are critical for controlling the function and differentiation of Foxp3+ regulatory T cells. OX40-OX40L interaction regulates T-cell tolerance, peripheral T-cell homeostasis, and T-cell-mediated inflammatory diseases. Reference: n/a. Function: Receptor for TNFSF4/OX40L/GP34. Is a costimulatory molecule implicated in long-term T-cell immunity.
