Product information "RPE, Recombinant, Human, aa1-228, His-Tag (Ribulose-phosphate 3-epimerase, HUSSY-17, Ribulose-5-phos"
RPE (ribulose-phosphate 3-epimerase) belongs to the ribulose-phosphate 3-epimerase family. In enzymology, a ribulose-phosphate 3-epimerase is the enzyme that converts D-ribulose 5-phosphate into D-xylulose 5-phosphate in Calvin's reductive pentose phosphate cycle. Hence, this enzyme has one substrate, D-ribulose 5-phosphate, and one product, D-xylulose 5-phosphate. This enzyme participates in 3 metabolic pathways: pentose phosphate pathway, pentose and glucuronate interconversions, and carbon fixation. Source: Recombinant corresponding to aa1-228 from human RPE, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, expressed in E.coli. Molecular Weight: ~27.5kD (252aa) confirmed by MALDI-TOF, AA Sequence: MGSSHHHHHH SSGLVPRGSH MGSHMASGCK IGPSILNSDL ANLGAECLRM LDSGADYLHL DVMDGHFVPN ITFGHPVVES LRKQLGQDPF FDMHMMVSKP EQWVKPMAVA GANQYTFHLE ATENPGALIK DIRENGMKVG LAIKPGTSVE YLAPWANQID MALVMTVEPG FGGQKFMEDM MPKVHWLRTQ FPSLDIEVDG GVGPDTVHKC AEAGANMIVS GSAIMRSEDP RSVINLLRNV CSEAAQKRSL DR, Enzyme Activity: Not determined. This product is recommended for use in applications that do not require a catalytically active form of the protein. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
