Recombinant Human GGT1 Protein is expressed from HEK293 with His tag at the N-Terminus.It contains Pro27-Tyr569. Gamma-glutamyl transferase (GGT, EC 2.3.2.2) is the only enzyme capable of degrading glutathione (GSH) in extra-cytosolic spaces. Overexpression of gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase (GGT1) has been implicated in an array of human diseases including asthma, reperfusion injury, and cancer.
