CALML5 undergoes a conformational change as a result of binding calcium. CALML5 is taking part in terminal differentiation of keratinocytes and encodes a calcium binding protein expressed in the epidermis.CALML5 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain (a.a 2-146) containing 155 amino acids including a 10 a.a N-terminal His tag. The total molecular mass is 17.0kDa (calculated). Protein function: Binds calcium. May be involved in terminal differentiation of keratinocytes. [The UniProt Consortium]
