Biotinylated Human E-Cadherin/Cadherin-1 Protein

Recombinant Biotinylated Human E-Cadherin/Cadherin-1 Protein is expressed from HEK293 with His tag and Avi tag at the C-terminus.It contains Asp155-Ala709. E-cadherin is the core component of epithelial adherens junctions, essential for tissue development, differentiation, and maintenance. It is also fundamental for tissue barrier formation, a critical function of epithelial tissues. Protein function: Cadherins are calcium-dependent cell adhesion proteins (PubMed:11976333). They preferentially interact with themselves in a homophilic manner in connecting cells, cadherins may thus contribute to the sorting of heterogeneous cell types. CDH1 is involved in mechanisms regulating cell-cell adhesions, mobility and proliferation of epithelial cells (PubMed:11976333). Has a potent invasive suppressor role.
