Product information "Interleukin-10 (Il10) (Active), mouse, recombinant"
Organism: Mus musculus (Mouse). Source: E.coli. Expression Region: 19-178aa. Protein Length: Full Length of Mature Protein. Tag Info: Tag-Free. Target Protein Sequence: SRGQYSREDN NCTHFPVGQS HMLLELRTAF SQVKTFFQTK DQLDNILLTD SLMQDFKGYL GCQALSEMIQ FYLVEVMPQA EKHGPEIKEH LNSLGEKLKT LRMRLRRCHR FLPCENKSKA VEQVKSDFNK LQDQGVYKAM NEFDIFINCI EAYMMIKMKS. Purity: Greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Endotoxin: Less than 1.0 EU/µg as determined by LAL method. Biological Activity: The ED50 as determined in a cell proliferation assay using FDC-P1 Mouse bone marrow cells is 6 ng/ml. Form: Lyophilized powder. Buffer: Lyophilized from a 0.2 µm filtered 1xPBS, pH 7.4. Reconstitution: We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20 °C/-80 °C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference. Storage: The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself. Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20 °C/-80 °C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20 °C/-80 °C. Notes: Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4 °C for up to one week. Relevance: Mouse Il10 is the prototypic member of the IL-10 cytokine family, including IL-10, IL-19, IL-20, IL-22 (IL-TIF), IL-24 and IL-26. Many viruses encode viral members of the IL-10 family, such as Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) and human cytomegalovirus (HCMV).Its main function is inhibiting the synthesis of a number of cytokines, including IFN-gamma, IL-2, IL-3, TNF and GM-CSF produced by activated macrophages and by helper T-cells. Although human and mouse IL-10 are 81% identical at the nucleotide and amino acid level, mouse IL-10 is species-specific and does not act on human cells. Interestingly, Human IL-10 is active on mouse cells. Reference: n/a. Function: Inhibits the synthesis of a number of cytokines, including IFN-gamma, IL-2, IL-3, TNF and GM-CSF produced by activated macrophages and by helper T-cells.
