Product information "CD40 ligand (CD40LG), partial (Active), human, recombinant"
Organism: Homo sapiens (Human). Source: E.coli. Expression Region: 113-261aa. Protein Length: Partial. Tag Info: Tag-Free. Target Protein Sequence: MQKGDQNPQI AAHVISEASS KTTSVLQWAE KGYYTMSNNL VTLENGKQLT VKRQGLYYIY AQVTFCSNRE ASSQAPFIAS LCLKSPGRFE RILLRAANTH SSAKPCGQQS IHLGGVFELQ PGASVFVNVT DPSQVSHGTG FTSFGLLKL. Purity: Greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Endotoxin: Less than 1.0 EU/µg as determined by LAL method. Biological Activity: Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized Human CD40-Fc at 5µg/ml can bind Human CD40L, the ED50 of Human CD40L is 6.05 ng/ml. Form: Lyophilized powder. Buffer: Lyophilized from a 0.2 µm filtered 20 mM PB, 200 mM NaCl, 0.1 mM EDTA, pH 7.0. Reconstitution: We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20 °C/-80 °C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference. Storage: The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself. Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20 °C/-80 °C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20 °C/-80 °C. Notes: Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4 °C for up to one week. Relevance: CD40 Ligand (CD40LG) is a type II transmembrane glycoprotein that belongs to the TNF superfamily. Like other TNF superfamily members, CD40LG exists as a trimer in membrane bound and soluble form, both of which are bioactive. CD40LG is a ligand for CD40, its ligation also initiates signal transduction in CD40LG expressing cells. CD40LG is a differentiation antigen that is expressed on the surface of T-cells. It stimulates B-cell proliferation and secretion of all immunoglobulin isotypes in the presence of cytokines. CD40LG has been shown to induce cytokine production and tumoricidal activity in peripheral blood monocytes. It also co-stimulates proliferation of activated T-cells and this is accompanied by the production of IFN-gamma, TNF-alpha, and IL2. Reference: n/a. Function: Cytokine that binds to CD40/TNFRSF5
