Ciclesonide is an anti-inflammatory corticosteroid. Its active metabolite and several ciclesonide-acetal derivatives have been found to block RNA replication of the SARS-Cov-2 virus. Ciclesonide also inhibits lung cancer stem cells through Hedgehog signaling-mediated SOX2 regulation. Solubility: Insoluble in water. Soluble in EtOH and DMSO.
