2-methoxy Estrone is an active metabolite of the endogenous estrogen estrone (Cay-10006485). It is formed from estrone by catechol-O-methyltransferase (COMT). 2-methoxy Estrone inhibits the proliferation of isolated bovine brain-derived capillary endothelial cells (IC50 = 11.5 µM).
