Molecular weight: 1028.26. XFD405 NHS Ester (Succinimidyl Ester) is the same molecule as Alexa Fluor(R) 405 NHS Ester (#A30000 from ThermoFisher, Alexa Fluor(R) is the trademark of ThermoFisher). It is a moderately bright blue-fluorescent dye optimal for use with the 405 nm Violet laser. XFD405 dye is water soluble and pH-insensitive from pH 4 to pH 10. XFD405 NHS ester is the most convenient amine-reactive form for conjugating this dye to a protein or antibody. XFD405 NHS Ester is primarily used for preparing fluorescent antibody conjugates for multicolor flow cytometry applications.
