Zilpaterol-d7 is intended for use as an internal standard for the quantification of zilpaterol (Cay-16484) by GC- or LC-MS. Zilpaterol is a beta-adrenergic receptor agonist that putatively, through activation of protein kinase A, increases protein synthesis in skeletal muscle fibers as well as reduces lipogenesis and increases lipolysis in adipose tissues.
