rac-Desethyl oxybutynin is an active metabolite of the muscarinic acetylcholine receptor (mAChR) antagonist oxybutynin (Cay-23825). rac-Desethyl oxybutynin is formed from oxybutynin by the cytochrome P450 (CYP) isoform CYP3A4.
