MSX-122

MSX-122 is a small molecule partial antagonist of C-X-C chemokine 4 (CXCR4, IC50 = ~10 nM). It reduces inflammation and infiltration of CXCR4+ cells in a dextran sulfate (Cay-23250) model of experimental colitis in mice. Specifically, it prevents the production of TNF-alpha, IL-1beta, and IL-6. MSX-122 also reduces TNF-alpha secretion by macrophages infected with patient-derived invasive E. coli.
