Product information "L-Cysteine-15N-d3"
L-Cysteine-15N-d3 is intended for use as an internal standard for the quantification of L-cysteine (Cay-33309) by GC- or LC-MS. L-Cysteine is a conditionally essential amino acid. It is produced from L-methionine through the transsulfuration pathway. L-Cysteine can also be derived from dietary sources and protein turnover. It is a precursor in the biosynthesis of the intracellular antioxidant glutathione (GSH, Cay-10007461). L-Cysteine supplementation increases GSH levels as well as decreases oxidative stress and pro-inflammatory cytokine levels in various rat and porcine disease models, including type 2 diabetes, aging, and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). It is also an excitotoxin, inducing neuronal damage by overactivation of NMDA receptors.Formal Name: L-cysteine-2,3,3-d3-15N. CAS Number: 1795787-05-1. Synonyms: L-Cys-15N-d3, L-(+)-Cysteine-15N-d3, (R)-Cysteine-15N-d3. Molecular Formula: C3H4D3[15N]O2S. Formula Weight: 125.2. Purity: >99% deuterated forms (d1-d3). Formulation: (Request formulation change), A solid. Solubility: Methanol: Slightly soluble, PBS (pH 7.2): Slightly soluble. SMILES: [15NH2][C@](C([2H])([2H])S)([2H])C(O)=O. InChi Code: InChI=1S/C3H7NO2S/c4-2(1-7)3(5)6/h2,7H,1,4H2,(H,5,6)/t2-/m0/s1/i1D2,2D,4+1. InChi Key: XUJNEKJLAYXESH-KIYJLCFFSA-N.
