Echinocandin B

Echinocandin B is an echinocandin antifungal originally isolated from Aspergillus. Echinocandin B is an inhibitor of 1,3-beta glucan synthase, and it inhibits incorporation of radiolabeled glucose into alkali-insoluble glucan by S. cerevisiae spheroplasts in a dose-dependent manner.
