White to light yellow powder. Soluble in DMSO (20mg/ml) or DMF (20mg/ml). Chemical. CAS: 548-73-2. Formula: C22H22FN3O2. MW: 379.43. Droperidol is a butyrophenone that acts as an antagonist at dopamine receptors D2 and D4. It less potently inhibits the human voltage-gated potassium channel, 5-HT, alpha-adrenergic and histamine receptors. Droperidol has been shown to provide relief from acute migraines and prevent nausea and vomiting in clinical trials and has anti-psychotic activity.
