Dihydronovobiocin is a coumarin antibiotic and derivative of novobiocin (Cay-18457). It is active against the bacteria S. aureus, S. haemolyticus, D. pneumoniae, S. typhosa, K. pneumoniae, and P. multocida (MICs = 0.6, 2, 0.6, 10, 10, and 3 µg/ml, respectively).
