BRD6989 is an inhibitor of the Cdk8/cyclin C complex. It selectively binds to the Cdk8/cyclin C complex (IC50 = ~200 nM) over the Cdk1/cyclin B, Cdk2/cyclin A, Cdk5/p35, Cdk7/cyclin H, and Cdk9/cyclin T complexes at 1,000 nM.
