2'-Deoxyuridine is a pyrimidine nucleoside composed of the pyrimidine base uracil attached to the sugar deoxyribose. It has been used as a precursor in the synthesis of antiviral deoxyuridine derivatives, including idoxuridine (Cay-20222).
