Dalfopristin (mesylate)

Dalfopristin is a streptogramin antibiotic that blocks peptide bond formation and peptide extension in bacteria. Dalfopristin is usually combined with another streptogramin antibiotic, quinupristin (Cay-19764), to produce Quinupristin-Dalfopristin Complex, known commercially as Synercid.
