ELISA Type: Sandwich ELISA, Double Antibody. Detection Range: 31.25-2000µg/mL. Sensitivity: 18.75µg/mL. Sample Types: Serum, Plasma, Cell Culture Supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, Other liquid samples. Protein function: Enzyme which catalyzes the acetylation of polyamines (PubMed:18690703). Substrate specificity: norspermidine = spermidine >> spermine > N(1)-acetylspermine. This highly regulated enzyme allows a fine attenuation of the intracellular concentration of polyamines. Also involved in the regulation of polyamine transport out of cells. Also acts on 1,3- diaminopropane and 1,5-diaminopentane. [The UniProt Consortium]
