The kit is a Sandwich enzyme immunoassay for in vitro quantitative measurement of XOD in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. Detection Range: 0.16--10ng/mL. Sensitivity: 0.1ng/mL. Protein function: Key enzyme in purine degradation. Catalyzes the oxidation of hypoxanthine to xanthine. Catalyzes the oxidation of xanthine to uric acid. Contributes to the generation of reactive oxygen species. Has also low oxidase activity towards aldehydes (in vitro). [The UniProt Consortium]
