Anti-NMDA R2C pS1244 antibody is directed against NMDA R2C protein. The antibody was affinity purified from monospecific antiserum by immunoaffinity purification and is specific for the phophorylated NMDA R2C protein. Immunolabeling is blocked by preadsorption of antibody with the phospho-peptide that was used to generate the antibody but not by the corresponding dephospho-peptide. Reactivity is expected from mouse. Cross reactivity from other species has not been determined. Protein function: NMDA receptor subtype of glutamate-gated ion channels possesses high calcium permeability and voltage-dependent sensitivity to magnesium. Mediated by glycine.
