Anti-Ubiquitin Hydrolase (UCHL1), clone BH7

Anti-UCHL1 antibody is directed against human UCHL1 . The antibody is a total IgG fraction from concentrated clarified cell culture supernate. Reactivity is expected against human, bovine and rat sources. Cross reactivity from other sources has not been determined. However, expect reactivity with UCHL1 from most mammalian sources based on sequence homology. Protein function: Ubiquitin-protein hydrolase involved both in the processing of ubiquitin precursors and of ubiquitinated proteins. This enzyme is a thiol protease that recognizes and hydrolyzes a peptide bond at the C-terminal glycine of ubiquitin. Also binds to free monoubiquitin and may prevent its degradation in lysosomes.
