Anti-TRPC5 (Short Transient Receptor Potential Channel 5, TrpC5, TRP5, Htrp5)

Transient receptor potential cation channel, subfamily C, member 5, also known as TRPC5, is a subtype of the TRPC family of mammalian transient receptor potential ion channels. Homomultimeric TRPC5 and heteromultimeric TRPC5-TRPC1 channels are activated by extracellular reduced thioredoxin (3). This activation probably plays a role in rheumatoid arthritis. It has also been recently found to be involved in the action on anaesthetics such as choloform, halothane and propofol (4). Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunofluorescence: 1-10ug/ml, Immunohistochemistry: 0.1ug/ml , Immunocytochemistry: 0.1ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
