Product information "Anti-T2R39"
The protein encoded by this gene is a bitter taste receptor that detects green tea catechins, soy isoflavones, and theaflavins. The encoded protein is gustducin-linked and may activate alpha gustducin. This gene is intronless. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2015], Protein function: Receptor that may play a role in the perception of bitterness and is gustducin-linked. May play a role in sensing the chemical composition of the gastrointestinal content. The activity of this receptor may stimulate alpha gustducin, mediate PLC-beta-2 activation and lead to the gating of TRPM5. [The UniProt Consortium] Recommended dilutions: Western Blot: 1/500 - 1/2000. Immunofluorescence: 1/200 - 1/1000. ELISA: 1/20000. Not yet tested in other applications.. Cellular localization: Membrane, Multi-pass membrane protein.
