Product information "Anti-NAV1.8, clone S134-12"
Anti-NAV1.8 Antibody was purified by Protein G chromatography. A BLAST analysis was used to suggest cross-reactivity with NAV1.8 from human, mouse, and rat based on 100% homology with the immunizing sequence. No cross reactivity against other Nav channels. Cross-reactivity with NAV1.8 from other sources has not been determined. Ion Channels research. Protein function: This protein mediates the voltage-dependent sodium ion permeability of excitable membranes. Assuming opened or closed conformations in response to the voltage difference across the membrane, the protein forms a sodium-selective channel through which sodium ions may pass in accordance with their electrochemical gradient. It is a tetrodotoxin-resistant sodium channel isoform. Its electrophysiological properties vary depending on the type of the associated beta regulatory auxiliary subunits (in vitro). Plays a role in neuropathic pain mechanisms. [The UniProt Consortium]
