The muscarinic acetylcholine receptor belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family and mediates various cellular responses such as adenylate cyclase inhibition, phosphoinositide breakdown and potassium channel modulation through the action of G proteins. The unprocessed precursor has a length of 466aa and a predicted molecular weight of 51.7KD. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and ELISA. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA: Detection limit of recombinant GST tagged muscarinic acetylcholine receptor is 0.03ng/ml., Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
