Anti-Mouse IL-1 beta NALE(TM) Purified (Clone: B122)

The B122 monoclonal antibody specifically reacts with the precursor and mature secreted forms of mouse IL-1 Beta and is cross-reactive with rat IL-1 Beta. IL-1 Alpha and IL-1 Beta are recognized by the same cell surface receptor but are generated from distinct genes. The B122 antibody is reported to neutralize the bioactivity of natural or recombinant IL-1 Beta. Protein function: Potent proinflammatory cytokine. Initially discovered as the major endogenous pyrogen, induces prostaglandin synthesis, neutrophil influx and activation, T-cell activation and cytokine production, B-cell activation and antibody production, and fibroblast proliferation and collagen production.
