Product information "Anti-GSTt2 (Glutathione S Transferase Theta 2, GST-T2, Glutathione S-transferase theta 2, isoform CR"
Glutathione S-transferase (GSTs) theta 2 (GSTT2) is a member of a superfamily of proteins that catalyze the conjugation of reduced glutathione to a variety of electrophilic and hydrophobic compounds. Human GSTs can be divided into five main classes: Alpha, Mu, Pi, Theta, and Zeta. The theta class members GSTT1 and GSTT2 share 55% aa sequence identity and both are thought to have an important role in human carcinogenesis. The theta genes have a similar structure, being composed of five exons with identical exon/intron boundaries. Tan et al. (1995) described the molecular cloning of a cDNA encoding a second human theta-class GST, GSTT2, from a liver cDNA library. The deduced protein contains 244aa and has 55% identity with GSTT1. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:100-1:5000, Western Blot: 1:50-400, Immunocytochemistry: 1:50-500, Immunohistochemistry (frozen): 1:50-500, Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 1:10-100, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
