Product information "Anti-Glycine Receptor alpha 3 subunit (GLRA3, ligand gated ion channel, glycine receptor, alpha-3 po"
Glycine receptor a3 subunit, also known as GLRA3, belongs to the ligand-gated ion channel family. Glycine functions as a inhibitory neurotransmitter throughout the CNS of mammals. The Glycine receptor is a neurotransmitter ligand-gated ion channel. GLRA3 is a pentamer that is composed of ligand binding alpha and structural beta subunits. When glycine binds to the receptor, chloride conductance increases which produces hyperpolarization. It is expressed in the hippocampus, olfactory bulb, and cerebellum. GLRA3 may be involved in human and murine neurological disorders. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 0.1ug/ml detected glycine receptor alpha 3 subunit on 10ug of fetal human brain tissue lysate. , Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 1:100-1:500 detected Glycine Receptor alpha 3 subunit in mouse spinal cord and mouse eye tissue., Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Fetal human brain tissue lysate, Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
