Product information "Anti-COX4I2 (Cytochrome C Oxidase Subunit 4 Isoform 2, Mitochondrial, Cytochrome C Oxidase Subunit I"
COX4-I2 is a 21-22kD member of the Cytochrome c oxidase IV family of proteins and is predominantly expressed in lung. It is a component of COX, an inner mitochondrial membrane multimeric dimer that catalyzes the transfer of electrons from Cytochrome c to dioxygen. COX4-I2 is induced following blockade of mitochondrial respiration, leading to increased production of reactive oxygen species and necrosis. The ubiquitously expressed COX4-I1 is the product of a different gene and shares only 50% aa identity with COX4-I2. Within aa39-171, human COX4-I2 shares 84% and 81% aa sequence identity with mouse and rat COX4-I2. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
