Product information "Anti-CD8a (CD8 alpha, CD8 alpha Chain, CD8 Antigen alpha Chain, CD8 Antigen alpha Polypeptide (p32),"
CD8 is a dimeric complex made up of two Ig superfamily members. The CD8a chain is a 34kD type I transmembrane glycoprotein that is disulfide-linked either to itself forming CD8aa, or to an unrelated 30-35kD CD8b chain, forming CD8ab. CD8a contains one V-type Ig-like domain in its extracellular region (ECD) that binds to class I MHC molecules. CD8ab is a TCR coreceptor, while CD8aa promotes T cell survival and differentation. Within the ECD, canine CD8a shares 63%, 45%, 43%, 68%, 54% aa identity with human, mouse, rat, feline, and porcine CD8a, respectively. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunocytochemistry: 8-25ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
