Product information "Anti-CD63 (CD63 antigen, Granulophysin, LAMP-3, Lysosome-associated membrane glycoprotein 3, ME491,"
CD63, also known as LAMP-3 or ME491 (melanoma- associated antigen), is a member of the tetraspanin superfamily of protein trafficking proteins. CD63 is ubiquitously expressed and found in late endocytic vesicles, but following cell activation is also present on the plasma membrane. CD63 interacts with other membrane proteins or adaptors to regulate activities such as adhesion, migration and degranulation. The 238aa CD63 migrates at 30-60kD, depending on post-translational modification. Extracellular regions of mouse CD63 share 94% and 67% aa identity with rat and human CD63, respectively. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunohistochemistry: 8-25ug/ml detects CD63 in perfusion fixed frozen sectoins of mouse kidney, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
