Anti-CD31 (PECAM-1, Platelet gpIIa Molecule) (Biotin)

Human CD31 is an adhesion molecule expressed on platelets, endothelial cells, leukocytes and their bone marrow precursors. CD31 plays a role in homophilic adhesion and heterophilic transendothelial migration (3). Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 10ug/ml. Use 80ul to label 5x10e5 Jurkat-4G cells., Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Recommended Negative Control: I1904-78R2: IgG1 Murine Negative Control (Biotin), Flow Cytometry Protocol: 1. 5x10e5 cultured Jurkat-4G cells were washed, then incubated for 45 minutes on ice with 80ul of C2383-01B at 10ug/ml. , 2. Cells were then washed twice and incubated with S7973-88P: Streptavidin (PE)., 3. Cells were washed three times, fixed and analyzed by FACS. 4. Cells stained with a mean shift of 2.29 log10 fluorescent units when compared to a Mouse IgG1/Biotin negative control at a similar concentration. , 5. Binding was blocked when pre-incubated for 10 minutes with 20ul of 0.5mg/ml of C2383-01A. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
