Anti-CD3, epsilon (Early T Cell Marker), Phycoerythrin conjugated, clone 5K4

CD3epsilon, a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily of cell surface receptors, is comprised of five invariable chains ranging in size from 16-28kD and is closely associated with the T cell antigen receptor (TCR). It is expressed on all T cells of all mouse strains (1,2). CD3 plays a major role in signaling during antigen recognition, leading to T-cell activation. In the presence of Fc receptor-bearing accessory cells, soluble antibody can activate primed and native T cells in vitro. Immobilized monoclonal antibody can also activate both normal T lymphocytes and cloned T cell lines provided the appropriate accessory signals are present (1,3,4). The monoclonal antibody is cytolytic, easily used for cell surface staining and a good immunoprecipitating antibody (1). Applications: Suitable for use in in vitro depletion of CD3+ cells, in vitro activation of T cells (accessory cells must be provided), Immunoprecipitation, Flow Cytometry and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: < 1ug/10e6 cells, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C before opening. DO NOT FREEZE! , Reconstitute with 1ml sterile dH2O. Stable at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. Freezing R-Phycoerythrin (PE) conjugates will result in a substantial loss of activity. Protect from light.,
