Product information "Anti-CD1A (T-cell Surface Glycoprotein CD1a, T-cell Surface Antigen T6/Leu-6, hTa1 Thymocyte Antigen"
CD1a is a protein of 43-49kD expressed on dendritic cells and cortical thymocytes. CD1a antigen expression has been shown to be useful in differentiating Langerhans cells, powerful antigen presenting cells present in skin and epithelia, from interdigitating cells. Immunohistochemical studies for CD1a antigen have reported a reduction in epidermal Langerhans cells in graft versus host disease and the participation of CD1a antigen-positive dendritic cells in atherosclerotic lesion formation and asthmatic inflammation. This monoclonal antibody detects cortical thymocytes, Langerhans cells in epidermis, interdigitating cells of dermis and interdigitating cells of stratified squamous epithelium of tonsil. It may also detect small focal groups of lymphocytes outside the germinal centers of tonsil indicating a cross-reaction with CD1b antigen. , Applications:, Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 1:15-1:30 (High temperature antigen retrieval using 0.01M citrate retrieval solution, pH 6.0), Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
