Anti-CD11c (Integrin alpha-X, CD11 Antigen-like Family Member C, Leu M5, Leukocyte Adhesion Glycopro

The Integrin AX subunit, also known as CD11c, is a 150kD type I transmembrane protein that noncovalently heterodimerizes with the B2 subunit (CD18) to form AXB2 also known as p150/p95 and complement receptor type 4 (CR4). Integrin AXB2 is expressed on macrophages, dendritic cells, hairy cell leukemias and some other leukocyte subsets. The 1097aa mouse AX extracellular domain shares 71% and 87% aa identity with human and rat AX, respectively. One potential AX isoform is truncated at aa828. Some adhesion partners of AXB2 are shared with AMB2/CD11b/CD18 (complement iC3b, ICAMs, vWF and fibrinogen) while others (osteopontin, Thy-1, plasminogen, heparin) are unique. Unlike AMB2, it is not constitutively active. AXB2 adhesion mediates proliferation, degranulation, chemotactic migration, and phagocytosis of complement-opsonized particles. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 2ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
