Anti-CARBONIC ANHYDRASE II, Peroxidase Conjugated

Carbonic anhydrase II is an IgG fraction antibody purified from monospecific antiserum by a multi-step process which includes delipidation, salt fractionation and ion exchange chromatography followed by extensive dialysis against the buffer stated above.  Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Peroxidase, anti-Rabbit Serum as well as purified and partially purified Carbonic Anhydrase II [Human Erythrocytes].  Cross reactivity against Carbonic Anhydrase II from other sources may occur but have not been specifically determined. Protein function: Essential for bone resorption and osteoclast differentiation. Reversible hydration of carbon dioxide. Can hydrate cyanamide to urea. Involved in the regulation of fluid secretion into the anterior chamber of the eye. Contributes to intracellular pH regulation in the duodenal upper villous epithelium during proton-coupled peptide absorption. Stimulates the chloride-bicarbonate exchange activity of SLC26A6.
