A major component of hemoglobin decomposition and the principal pigment of bile, acts as an antioxidant and peroxyl radical scavenger, protecting membrane lipids from oxidation. Source: Porcine , Appearance: Orange powder, Purity (HPLC): > 98% , Direct Reacting Bilirubin: > 70% by weight , Water (KF): < 1% , Molar Absorptivity (453nm): 59,000, Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile buffer or ddH2O. Aliquot and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Very sensitive to oxygen and light.
