Mycophenolic Acid, Free Acid ((4E)-6-(1,3-Dihydro-4-hydroxy-6-methoxy-7-methyl-3-oxo-5-isobenzofuran

Mycophenolic acid (MPA) is used in combination with calcineurin inhibitors as maintenance immunosuppression for kidney transplant recipients. Solubility: Soluble in DMSO at 200mg/ml, soluble in ethanol at 30mg/ml, very poorly soluble in water, maximum solubility in plain water is estimated to be about 10-100uM, solubility is higher in pH7 buffer, buffers, serum, or other additives may increase or decrease the aqueous solubility. Storage and Stability: May be stored at RT for short-term only. Long-term storage is recommended at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
