Anti-Semaphorin-3A (Semaphorin III, Sema III, SEMA3A, SEMAD)

Semaphorin-3A is a secreted protein that induces the collapse and paralysis of neuronal growth cones. It could serve as a ligand that guides specific growth cones by a motility-inhibiting mechanism. It Binds to the complex neuropilin-1/plexin-1. Increased expression of this protein is associated with schizophrenia and is seen in a variety of human tumor cell lines. Also, aberrant release of this protein is associated with the progression of Alzheimer's disease. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
