B7-H2, mouse recombinant

Mouse B7-H2, also known as CD275, is expressed by antigen presenting cells, including B cells, monocytes/macrophages, and dendritic cells. It binds to the ICOS molecule. The interaction of ICOS/B7-H2 plays an important role in the T cell costimulation pathway. Mouse B7-H2 Recombinant Protein is purified B7-H2 produced in yeast. Protein function: Ligand for the T-cell-specific cell surface receptor ICOS. Acts as a costimulatory signal for T-cell proliferation and cytokine secretion, induces also B-cell proliferation and differentiation into plasma cells. Could play an important role in mediating local tissue responses to inflammatory conditions, as well as in modulating the secondary immune response by co- stimulating memory T-cell function. During pregnancy, may function to skew the cytokine of maternal T-cells toward immunoprotective Th2 phenotype. [The UniProt Consortium]
