TAC1, Recombinant, Human, aa23-166, Fc-Tag, Avi-Tag

TAC1, also known as protachykinin 1, is a member of the tachykinin peptide hormone family. TAC1 are a family of peptides that have similar biologic activities and share a common C-terminal sequence, phe-X-gly-leu-met-NH2, but have distinct N-terminal sequences that convey receptor specificities. TAC1 is thought to function as neurotransmitters which interact with nerve receptors and smooth muscle cells. It is known to induce behavioral responses and function as vasodilators and secretagogues. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa23-166 from human TAC1, fused at the C-terminus to the Fc portion of human IgG1 and with a C-terminal Avi-Tag, expressed in HEK293 cells. Molecular Weight: ~45kD, Storage and Stability: Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -70°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
