Rat Activin RIIA/ACVR2A Protein

Recombinant Rat Activin RIIA/ACVR2A Protein is expressed from HEK293 with His tag at the C-terminus.It contains Ala20-Pro135. Activin A receptor type 2A (ACVR2A) is a membrane receptor in the transforming growth factor- beta (TGF-beta signaling pathway, which is involved in the regulation of cell proliferation, migration, and apoptosis. Loss of ACVR2A has an important role in cancer progression and distant metastasis and may serve as a prognostic marker in patients with colon cancer. Protein function: On ligand binding, forms a receptor complex consisting of two type II and two type I transmembrane serine/threonine kinases. Type II receptors phosphorylate and activate type I receptors which autophosphorylate, then bind and activate SMAD transcriptional regulators. Receptor for activin A, activin B and inhibin A.
