Piperoxan is an alpha2-adrenergic receptor (alpha2-AR) antagonist (Kis = 5.4, 2, and 1.3 nM for alpha2A-, alpha2B-, and alpha2C-ARs, respectively) and a first generation histamine receptor antagonist.
