MLN8237 is an inhibitor of Aurora A kinase (IC50 = 1 nM). It is selective for Aurora A over Aurora B kinase (IC50 = 396.5 nM). MLN8237 (50 nM) induces cell cycle arrest at the G2/M phase and chromosomal misalignment in HCT116 colon cancer cells.
