Cyanidin 3-O-beta-D-galactopyranoside is an anthocyanin flavonoid pigment that has been found in P. vera and has antioxidant properties. It scavenges radicals in 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhyrazyl (DPPH, Cay-14805), Trolox equivalent antioxidant capacity (TEAC), superoxide anion, and hydrogen peroxide assays.
