Anti-phospho-Tyrosine Hydroxylase (Ser40)

Tyrosine hydroxylase catalyzes the rate limiting step in the synthesis of dopamine and other catecholamines. The enzyme's activity is regulated at the levels of transcription, translation and post-translational modification. Tyrosine hydroxylase exists in several different isoforms ranging from 50kD to about 62kD in human. The N-terminal regulatory domain contains three phospho-serine sites: Ser19, Ser31 and Ser40. Phosphorylation at Ser40 by PKA positively , regulates the enzyme catalytic activity of the enzyme. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence with cells and Western Blot. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
